Partner: Dunbar Free Library

The Dunbar Free Library was established in the beginning of the 1900s when Lorenzo Dunbar offered the town land and money to build a library in honor of his deceased wife.  The first librarian, J. Madison Howe, and his daughter, Bernice M. Howe, covered the job until 1974. Our mission is to provide opportunities for life-long learning and cultural enrichment to the entire community.  We will partner with the Parks and Recreation on this year's Big Read.
