Lunch with Poe at Kingston Community Library
Grab your bagged lunch & spend your lunch hour with Poe! Join us for your as we view biographies and film adaptations of Poe's work, as we enjoy free coffee & refreshments !

Create a Poe Sculpture
Children 10 and up are invited to join a sculpture project, making small paper mache replicas of icons from Poe's writings such as ravens or gold bugs. When completed, the sculptures will be placed around town in local businesses as part of a family scavenger hunt to take place on Oct. 27th.

All Booked Up with Edgar Allan Poe
Our book discussion for the month of October, "All Booked Up With Edgar Allen Poe" will be a fun interactive discussion of a fictitious novel, The Pale Blue Eye, based on Poe's time at West Point along with a contemporary version of some of his more famous works. Whether you have read Poe's stories before or want to embark on a first time adventure, please come join us for this event.

Book Party: The Pale Blue Eye
Join us for 19th c. snacks, background and a stimulating discussion of the book "The Pale Blue Eye" by Louis Bayard. Bayard fictionalizes Poe's stint at West Point. Filled with enigmatic clues, codes, cryptograms, and psychological suspense, the novel had most critics on the edge of their seats. If an outlandish climax made a few cringe, the exquisite period prose, Gothic details, and meticulous historical rendering offer an intriguing fictional backdrop to Poe's literary inspirations.
