Downloadable Poe

The NH Downloadable Books Consortium includes a number of items related to Edgar Allan Poe which patrons of participating New Hampshire libraries can download free of charge.


Audios
The Raven and Selected Short Stories, narrated by Stefan Rudnicki and Bronson Pinchot (Part of the Always Available collection)
Edgar Allan Poe Collection 2, narrated by David Ian Davies
The Tell-tale Heart and The Raven, narrated by Alex Wilson
Edgar Allan Poe: Tales of Terror, narrated by Bruce Blau and David Thorn

eBooks
Many of Poe's works are included in the Showcase Collection, Classic eBooks which is accessible from a link on the left-hand panel of the NH Downloadable site. A search for Edgar Allan Poe brings up many DRM-free EPUB titles. These DRM-free EPUB eBooks can be loaded onto a Nook or Sony Reader, or on an iPad or Android tablet using the OverDrive Media Console app. They can also be read on a Kindle.

The full text of all of Poe's tales, poems, essays, and plays are available (in multiple versions, which is how they were published) are available to read online at the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore website. Each day during October one of the tales will be featured on this site (http://bigreadnh.org) with a link to the full text. Poems will also be included on the site throughout our Big Read.
